Chocolate gelt.
Chocolate gelt is metal foil covered chocolate designed to look like coins (gelt in Yiddish). It is often given and eaten for Hanukkah. Sometimes it is used as markers for the dreidel game.
The first chocolate gelt was produced in the United States by the candy company Loft's. Most chocolate gelt sold in the USA today is imported from Israel, although American and British chocolatiers produce more luxurious versions of the candy.
There is a song called "Gelt Melts" by the LeeVees on their CD, Hanukkah Rocks.
