The college student organization, Hillel, is a multi-denominational group that support young Jews as they grow into adult roles. Hillel is also the name of several well-known and influential rabbis. The most famous of whom is probably "Hillel the Elder, also Hillel the Babylonian (end of first century BCE to beginning of first century CE). This Hillel is considered the greatest sage of the Second Temple period." [1]
Many college campuses have a Hillel branch. These groups help students find services or counciling. Larger branches may hold their own services or even sponsor on-campus rabbis. Sometimes they also sponsor Shabbat dinners or Passover Seders and meals.
