The Nevi'im is the second section of the Tanakh. The translation is Prophets. The books in Nevi'im are named for the prophets whose stories or prophecies they tell.

In Hebrew, Nevi'im is written נְבִיאִים. Since the spelling in English and other languages is a transliteration it may vary.

The books in the Nevi'im section and the prophets are not an exact match.

It consists of eight books:

  • Joshua
  • Judges
  • Samuel
  • Kings
  • Isaiah
  • Jeremiah
  • Ezekiel
  • the Twelve Minor Prophets

Translations of these books are included in the Christian Bible.
