The Torah portion of Vayishlach is from Genesis 32:4 to 36:43. Jacob is commanded to return home, wrestles with an angel, is renamed and reconciles with his brother Esau. Dinah is raped and the rapist is murdered. Benjamin is born.

The Haftorah is the book of Obadiah.
